The theory test case study will take the form of a scenario, or short story, on which five multiple choice questions will be based. Candidates will answer the questions in the same way as they do now, using either the touch screen or mouse.

The case study and the questions based on it will appear at the end of the multiple choice part, as the final five of the 50 multiple choice questions in the theory test. They will be marked individually; a candidate will not fail all five questions relating to the case study if they get one or more wrong. The theory test pass mark will not change.
